An extra second.......


I hope that everyone enjoyed the extra second that was added in today. I am sure that everyone caught up on all sorts of important things, LOL. Wondering why an extra second? NASA explains what is really behind the infamous,  "leap second". For those that really just want a SIMPLE explanation, in a nut shell, the earth is slowing down a bit. There is worry that the extra second "may" cause issues. This small scale hype reminds me of the fear leading up to the year, 2000. We all survived Y2K and I am sure that we will all survive this too. For those really interested in the details of this "leap second" there is plenty of information out there to satisfy the intrigue behind this very special day, June 30, 2015.
