God Returns For Me

God Returns For Me by Kristen Wetherell is a book for young children about Christ's Second Coming. Hebrews 9:28 says, "So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him." At Christ's return believer's will be resurrected. There will be no more sorrow or suffering. Neither will there be pain or suffering. Sin and death will be no more. Christ's return will bring about a new era of peace and harmony, transforming the world into a place of joy and righteousness. All creation will be restored, and the earth will be filled with the glory of God. Humanity will live in perfect unity, free from the divisions and conflicts that once plagued it. The hymn writer, Charles Wesley wrote a hymn called Come, Thou Long Expected Jesus which beautifully tells of Christ and His return.

Come Thou long-expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.

Israel's strength and consolation,
Hope of all the saints Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.

When Jesus comes, my eyes will see his glory and his grace. When Jesus comes upon the clouds, at last, I'll see his face!
