My family recently had the opportunity to see the Cloud Gate Dance Theatre of Taiwan at the Winspear Opera House in Dallas. This 70 minute show was truly spectacular. The choreography by, Lin Hwai-min, was amazing. The inspiration for this performance came from the story of Chihshang, and the landscape of the East Rift Valley in Taiwan. The dancers told the story of the cultivation of rice: flooding, sprouting, harvesting and burning. Each dancer was passionate and brought this story to life.
