"Violence as a way of achieving racial justice
is both impractical and immoral. I am not unmindful
of the fact that violence often brings about momentary results.
Nations have frequently won their independence in battle.
But in spite of temporary victories,
violence never brings permanent peace."
~ Martin Luther King, Jr. ~
I Corinthians 15:54-58
"But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immorality, then will come about the saying that is written, "Death will be swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord."
