Lets Make A Rainbow

My daughter is using the Magic School Bus series for Science. Today she read the book, Making A Rainbow. We decided to make a rainbow of our own.

To make a rainbow all you have to do is gather 6 mason jars, red/yellow/blue dye, water, and paper towels. Fill all the the jars 3/4 of the way full with water. In the 1st, 3rd, and 5th jars add the colors. Place rolled paper towels going from one jar to the next. Watch what happens!! As the paper towels become saturated they eventually meet up with wet towels from the non colored jars and mix. You end up with a beautiful rainbow of colors.

Be thou the rainbow in the storms of life. The evening beam that smiles
the clouds away, and tints tomorrow with prophetic ray.
