Science Shepherd

Reviewing Introductory Science Level B from Science Shepherd has been a very positive experience. Science Shepherd brings homeschoolers science curriculum with simplicity, excellence, and most importantly a Biblical perspective. The step wise fashion approach allows students to work through the curriculum independently. Each of the available science courses offer the student a curriculum that is complete and not just a supplement. This course is for ages 6-11. There are two workbook levels for Introductory Science. Level A is for ages 6-8. Level B is for ages 9-11. The Introductory Science Course, Workbooks, Answer Keys, and Video Course Extension are all sold separately. The curriculum is extremely affordable!

The book of Genesis tells us that God created the universe and everything in it. The Bible is the only true Word of God and any study needs to begin with the best textbook known to man, the Bible. With the bible as the foundation, Science Shepherd comes alongside and teaches student's about God's amazing creation.

"For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded and it stood firm."
~ Psalm 33:9 ~

My 4th grader loves science. I was so excited for her to work through this online video program with a physical workbook. The curriculum includes 35 weeks of study. The first two weeks are Introduction weeks. Week three covers Science Skills and Tools. Weeks 4-35 cover Earth, Life, and Physical Science.

Each online lecture runs between 1-5 minutes in length. In addition to the lectures there are video activities/labs. My daughter loved that the lectures were short. Even though they were short, she learned so much each day. She really enjoyed the video lab activities. Knowing that she was learning science from a Biblical perspective is very important for me as her teacher and parent.

The student workbook has a wide variety of actives to reinforce what is being learned in the videos. Students will solve crossword puzzles, answer multiple choice questions, fill in charts, match phrases, answer questions with short answers, true/false, draw/color, and much more.

The program is very user friendly. Science Shepherd makes learning science fun!

My daughter said, "I really love this science. It is fun and not at all confusing. I know that everything that I am hearing is true because it is based on what God says it true. I love the experiments. I want to do more of their stuff after I finish this one."

Science Shepherd has a full Introductory Science Level A & B Video Activity Supply List. Science Shepherd has really produced an amazing curriculum that is extremely parent and student friendly. The videos make learning science helpful for visual/auditory learners. I would highly recommend this curriculum to all homeschoolers!! We will definitely continue to use Science Shepherd.

I hope that Science Shepherd adds more upper level courses. I would most definitely use them!! There is a fantastic article by Scott Hardin, MD entitled, Five Scientific Ways Your Kids Can Defend Their Faith that I would highly encourage both students and parents read.

"Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"
